As per subject, I have all my interior trim out at the moment, and have read of a few threads about the alpine windows leaking. Mine arent right now, but I can also see they have hardened and contracted due to sunlight. If its not difficult, I will give it a crack.

The alpine windows on the D2 are glued in, similarly to the windscreen and the rear quater windows. They have no conventional removable seals as such.
There is a beading on the outside and I believe this is only supplied with new windows.
Also, unless you are in the windscreen replacing business, these are difficult to cut out due to the cramped area
I haven't heard of these leaking but stand to be corrected, unlike the Series 1 Disco.

Hamish I have just replaced one on the right on my D2 V8 hail damaged as it was broken.
The second hand one I obtained had some beading on it but when cut from donor car it was only half the thickness from original.
What I did was clean it all off the glass and do the same on the disco I then used sikaflex in a large bead around the outside of the glass and then gently layed it ito position without pushing down to hard as it will go below the body.
I used tape to sort of hold it in position and then when almost cured removed the tape and pushed it down a little more and wiped off the excess using turps. I then let it cure for 2 days before touching it.
I have tested it for water leakage and its all ok.
I like you could find no info on how to do it.
If it were me I would just run a bead of sikaflex around the old seal and leave it alone on both sides!:)
good luck
Brad;)
