rooftop storage

I'd like to learn more about the options for rooftop storage in a D90. The purpose of the storage would be camping gear for touring (not rooftop tents). It would need to be waterproof. Any recommendations?

Yagon, have a look at these from Dolium: WC Transit Bag 1200mm - Dolium Pty Ltd (http://www.dolium.com.au/view/page/120/item/RMATB12.html) and WC Transit Bag 1000mm - Dolium Pty Ltd (http://www.dolium.com.au/view/page/120/item/RMATB10.html) . Both should be available from Opposite Lock. Another option is decent plastic boxes. Problem with all of these is weight. Not only in terms of max roof rack load (150 kg for Defender including the rack) but also loading and unloading.
