anyone know what the old 4 engined bird that flew over brisvegas this morning?

i heard it and rushed out and the fleeting glimpse i saw looked a lot like a super constellation but really didnt get enough of a look to tell for sure.

No, though HARS do have a"Connie" - a Super Constellation. It's (last time I saw it) white with a red strip down the middle - like the Qanats livery of the time.

If it was a large four piston engined airliner it probably was the HARS one, as Vlad suggests.

On the other hand, another possibility if much smaller, is a DH114 Heron - I have an idea there is still one flying in Australia.

Didn't see it, wish I did.
Might be the Connie, it's supposed to be at the Williamstown Air Show this weekend. Maybe it was en route, or up here for the day?

Connie was at Williamtown this weekend.. I'm not sure where it is usually, but 'connie' was certainly on the move :)
