Hi guys,
Can anyone tell me the outside width of their Defer. I am trying to get some bar work done for a tray before I take delivery.

I need to know the width of the upper body, say corner to corner just under the gutters on back of the car.
And the width of corner to corner below the tail lights. The wider part of the body work.

thanks in advance for the effort.

Jason

Jason,

Remember you have about an extra six inches if you take into account the front flares. I made my own tray for my single cab 130 and bought the tray out to the width of the flares

On my 1998 cab/chassis:
Outside of gutters at back of cab - 1460mm
Rib at hip below windows - 1540mm
Widest part of body work at back of cab 1645mm
Outriggers right at back of chassis - 1540mm
My tray width to outside of corner aluminium angle but excluding bolt heads - 1840mm

Is that any help?

The car is a 130 Puma with a Triple M alloy tray being fitted.

I reckon if a 130 body is the same as a 110 in width and height I'm all good.
The idea is to be removing the head board of the tray, then add a steel frame as close as possible to the internal corners.
I want to kink the bars at the body hip, or close to the top of the tray's gates. Then run the bars up to the gutter height keeping the same distance from the body along the way.
Maybe from the gutter kink the bar again and go vertical to roof line.

I may need a gutter to roof line measurement if anyone could be troubled. But I think I have enough to get going. Delivery is on Friday so I can grab that last measurement then.

thanks

Give or take about an inch, for build tolerances :p
