Random yet simple question...
Is the 2000 Td5 110 Defender fitted with an immobilser as standard of any kind?
Cheers

yes and an alarm module, but never seemed to get hooked up in Australian models. It is located behind your instrument cluster. I believe there is some way to make it active but was easier for me to just install a stand alone unit.

what did your fob set you back? I got a quote for one this morning for $230!! Seems a bit steep?! how easy are they to get hold of from another source that might be cheaper?

Yep and that was why I went down the path of installing a Rhino alarm system and central locking. Still less than the fob and spare fobs etc are cheap.
