Went on a morning photo tour past Sunday in Hoi An, Vietnam, amazing experience, highly recommend it if you are in the country.

Can't post individual links to photos atm, but if you jump over to my flickr account I have made a group of the best shots.

Thanks Matt, very nice. That's an interesting finish you've used in the pics, very subtle colouring. Care to share?

Cheers.

Looks to me like desaturation with slight sepia tones through it, and maybe vignetting?

I use lightroom, so have some presets made up, but basically that is is it... it's the look I like atm.

I like that look to for architecture and people photos, even works well with some landscapes that I have seen.

One of the big reasons HDR photos dont work is the over saturation that results in unrealistic images.

Think you have been looking at the bad examples, or just the different style of HDR's ;) I have some HDR pics that a lot of people wouldn't know it was HDR, but also I wouldn't of been able to capture the moment if it wasn't HDR.

Fantastic shot, love the contrast between the front tiles and pilons and the grungy loking sides. What PP did you do to it, theres something there I cant quite capture.

3x exposure shot processed in photomatix and then a bit more level adjustment in lightroom.

Oh and shot hand held, even though I lugged the tripod around for 4 hours before taking this!
