Thought you guys might like some of the pics from mine and Stacey's wedding. Wedding was on Mt Panorama in January 2009. My cousin took the photos, here are a few. Just the raw images, no fiddling with any of these.

We did up pit passes for all the guests instead of invitations.

I wanted the Mt Panorama Wedding, Stacey requested he hummers, something different.

Yeah, the weather was good, was stinking hot the week before and on Saturday, then Sunday hit and it was like 25 degress, couldnt have had it better.

Stacey requested the hummers, Oohh, not so nice.
You could at least have taken them through some mud holes first :p.

I didnt mind the Hummers, was something different, would have been good to have a couple of Vogues or something.

The whole thing only cost about $2000, I did all the catering and the reception was just a big Ace's BBQ :D Was a great day.

And honestly what more would you need ? A great day is what it should be, doesn't mean it has to be 60 grand.

Congratulations on your big day! But that should have been Defenders instead of Hummers ;)

That is quite the bargain! Me and my fiancée are doing wedding plans at the moment and the costs can really fast get astronomical if you go for the traditional wedding with all the bells and whistles.

So our plan B is to ditch the family/parents and just invite some close friends and head to the mountains for a small cermony. Though I suspect that some of our kin wouldn't be too keen on that plan.

We did a similar thing to Ace, we got married at a local garden and then had the reception in a big marquee at the in laws (beer, wine and BBQ) everyone said it was the best wedding they had been to.

Everyone said the same to us aswell. We have between 50-60 guests and it was totally stress free.

As Bushie said it doesnt need to be 60k and be held in some massive church and then some impressive motel or resort or something to be special. We had a great time with friends and I actually enjoyed doing the catering. My mates helped cook the BBQ's to get the meat going whilst I organised the Barramundi baked in lemon and butter. Then mum organised a couple of big bowls of salads and we bought a big mud cake from the bakery in Bathurst.
