Just got a towbar and the compliance sticker that came with it had a few restrictions:

1. Do not fit Weight Distribution or Load Levelling Device
2. For Trailer Towing Only

The first restriction is not totally uncommon but for a vehicle that is claimed to tow 3.5 ton a little surprising.

The second restriction, For Trailer Towing Only, was very surprising.

Should I read this as meaning I cannot tow any size caravan, but I can tow a 3.5 ton trailer? That just doesn't make any sense.

Do the towbars for 110 and 130 Defenders have similar restrictions or is it just the 90?

It is not an issue for me at the moment as I only have a camper trailer, but the greying hair may see me switch to something larger sometime in the future.

Thanks

I imagine that it's just saying that it's not designed as a recovery point.

Americans call caravans "trailers" so I would think that LR is speaking American English.
