Buying Advice - 2003-2006 Freelander

Hi All.
I'm looking to buy a Freelander, 2.0L Diesel in the coming days/week.
I'm looking at a 2004 or above, because I've been told that the 04 update was better, but just looking for any advice, specs, and what to look out for when looking at cars.
