Automatic Front Lights (AFS)

Freelander 2 HSE TD4 with Tech Pack: Looking for info: how do we detect if the AFS lights are working on our car? Have never had any movement in any light parts that we can observe (parked in the shed) or any change of direction of light beams (on dip) while cornering. The vehicle had a fault light on the dash from new in 2008.

I would get this looked at by your dealer. I don't have the Tech Packs change of direction lights, but I do have my auto HID headlights come on when I drive into the garage or anywhere where it is remotely dark.
It's obviously got to be on the "AUTO" setting on the light switch, but as you have always had an error show up, then my guess is that you have an error!

Thanks AiiEEX; our automatic lights work fine - like when we drive into the dark shed. We've never seen any movement in light beams on the shed wall though and certainly expected to - after each of several visits to the dealer. Now in the process of finding independent advice ----.
