Hi,
LRO53 and I had the unique opportunity to make this video recently as we were involved in part of a TV show the BBC makes over the UK called 'Coast' and they have the 'Land Rover' as part of the story line of a future episode.
It has all just started to come to life in the S1 mags in the UK but I though I would share it here too, seeing this was made by two Australians, and what we can do when given an inch and taking a foot or two...

Great video - a shame about the awful music attached to the modern video in the first half of the clip.
So how many miles has the first land rover actually done noting its speedo does not work.
Thanks

The idea was to have inverse music to that of the 50's footage of HUE. Just for a laugh.
According to Google we did about 40 miles in HUE. It was all filmed on Anglesey in Wales.
She hadn't done anything since the 60th so felt very flat, but we did wind 50 MPH out of her on real roads with real traffic. Where R16 being a regular runner cruises easily at 50 and gets to 60 very easily and noisily, but has done 3500 miles since the 60th.
HUE is a lot nicer than she is given credit for but is a real museum piece and has been since 1954.
We were so lucky to be able to do this. I expected a slow run around the car park at best

Brilliant 260AC - made my hair stand on end! I actually love the Dandy Warhols back up - thought it worked well with the then and now theme.
Thanks for another sterling video post. :BigThumb:
