Sold my 2a shorty and looking at replacing her with a county the whole family fits in:D. It's an 88 model with a 1997 motor and looks real good.
The front end drifts around a bit (its lifted with 285's) but other than that drives good. Are there any other issues I should look for? cheers in advance:D

I assume V8??? Hope it is cheap ;)
Check for rust in:
Footwells
A, B and C pillars
Rear crossmember
Dumb irons
Where the a-frame crossmember attaches to the chassis rails
What box does it have?
If the original LT85 check for play - go on and off the accelerator in 3rd and 5th.
Take off the PTO cover (if possible) and check for mainshaft spline wear.
Other than that, the usual landy stuff - bushes, leaks, etc etc...

My County is an '88 model and came with the Lt85 split casing box. The split casing box is the weakest of the 5 speeds. So have a look if the box casing is in one or two pieces. I ended up changing to the older 4 speed Lt95 box.
Cheers, Murray
