Lure storage

In the corner of our shed we have an area sectioned off where we keep all our camping gear and similar bits.

We made a simple but very effective lure rack behind the door for smaller lures using a few pieces of perforated thin angle

Each time we go away our lures invariable get drenched in salt spray and hooks rust. By hanging them in this way it takes about 5 minutes to select a few containers when we go on hols, changing hooks as req'd.

Some good barra lure's there Erich..

Do well in the Daly river with some of them..

Better than having them sticking in you thumb and finger trying to get them out of the tackle box..

What happens if you dont have enough wall for the number of lures ;)

Im all a bit excited, in 2 hours we are heading off up north to the heads...
pink eye salmon and mudcrabs, bit of spearing round the flinders - cant wait!!!!

Yep, definitely the way to go. Easy to sort and spray with a rust preventative once back home as treble replacement on those barra lures can become a bit pricey.
My storage is much the same except on a plain peg board where the point of the rear treble gets about halfway through the board, but enough to hang on. No point cluttering up your tackle box with hoards of lures that usually only get used on trips away.
Some nice old Killalures and Nilsies there Erich. An old favorite of mine is the 15cm Invincible with gold sides, brown tiger stripes and a black back. Had some awesomes sessions with that lure! ;)
