Gday All,

I am hopefull of getting a list together by this coming friday..19th-11..

This year im also hope to offer into Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.. Melbourne will be volume relitive as the freight charges to there are crazy..

Sydney is totally un-viable, you will be able to buy them cheaper than I can get them to you..

I am confident of offering at last years prices, but it will be only able to happen if we (you ) can get enough of an order together, and have a single consignment and 1 central contact Person.

It has worked with the WA guys and seemed to work with the Melb guys last year..

I hope to Post more in the following days..We wont arrive in Darwin till 2nd or 3rd of Dec and dont expect orders to be in the various cold stores before mid Dec..

Cheers Ean

But quality means value, that is more important than price.

Very true, but there are wholesalers landing container loads of Australian prawns into sydney, and the freight costs are acceptable, but when you start looking at $3 per kilo plus handling, it starts to make it a better option to buy from a local retailer..

Of course they have to be AUSTRALIAN and WILD CAUGHT not imported farmed...

The problem is you have to go Darwin-Brisbane, no probs, then they get subbed out to another carrier and I cant get a definate time frame or a definate sydney cold store.
I had the senario last year that the truck to Melb got re-scheded and they were going to arrive 5 days later than I thought, and some orders had to cancel as people were leaving for hols.

I would hate to send stuff and it take 3 weeks to get there..

Cheers Ean

Hi All,
It's been months since I logged on. Still overseas.
Am I able to jump on this bandwagon or have I missed boat?

Lucky Bugger..I dont even get mine for free, just heavily discounted :D

To be honest I will be surprised if people in Brissie and Adelaide cant get prawns cheaper than I can get them there for, but am more than happy to try to provide them if people want them..

Hopefully we can trick Ben into looking after the Perth order once again.
Once I have prices I will see if I can get a good seperate order going for Williams like last Xmas.Only the depot staff were offered prawns last year,I will ask the office staff this year.
Dont forget,LOTS of us Perthites are interested in bycatch;););) Bugs,squid,mariana,ETC ETC.
Thanks
Andrew

EANS PRAWNS ARE THE BEST!!!!
I stoped buying prawns a long time ago.
Have got 2 seperate lots from Ean.You dont buy prawns from the supermarkets or fish shops anywhere near the quality.
Whilst Ean is offering them to us Im always wanting some.

Best way to sort it is the way Ben did last Xmas.
One person is only allowed into Tolls(in our case) to collect the order.This person collects,everybody meets outside to divvy up the order,Ean already has names on everything.Our Easter order wasnt as easy for Ben and caused him some grief.

Yeah but the 24km round trip to the wharf to get them straight off the trawler is a real bugger. :cool:

Andrew is definitely right when he said Eans prawns are THE BEST. We were able to get a couple of boxes 12 months ago when we drove Sharon's 130 up to Arnhem Land. They were absolutely beautiful:D

As we can't get Eans prawns here in Sydney, we get "Ocean Premium" banana prawns at our local fish supplier.

Cheers, Erich

...No where near as nice as Eans prawns though.

I would be happy to - HOWEVER - I will be "over east" for most of the next month - so depends on when they would arrive.

Gday All,

For those that dont know, The prawns are packed in either a 1.5kg pack or a 3kg pack...
There is no single kg orders its either of these, this is how we pack for the overseas supermarkets..

I AM STILL WAITING ON SOME INFO FROM THE TRUCK COMPANIES ABOUT CHARGES AND WHICH COLDSTORES, SO PLEASE BEAR WITH ME..

AS A GUIDE..THIS IS LAST YEARS PRICING..

ENDEAVOUR PRAWNS..3KG BOXES LANDED AT YOUR END

LARGE=$52
MED =$42

TIGER PRAWNS...PACKED IN 1.5KG BOX

XLARGE= $42
THESE ARE OUR PREMIUM PRAWN....HENCE THE PRICE..

I AM NOT DOING THE LARGE TIGERS IN THE 1.5 KG BOX ONLY XLARGE AS THERE HAS BEEN NO DEMAND FOR THEM THIS YEAR.

I WILL BE DOING THEM IN A 3KG BOX BUT HAVE TO WORK OUT A PRICE.

REMEMBER THESE WERE LAST YEARS PRICES AND I AM CONFIDENT I CAN MATCH THEM, UNLESS I GET A REAL BAD DEAL ON FREIGHT..

I WILL POST MORE SOON..

thought t might be easier to manage

oh BTW i am interested and work right next to the air-port....thats if they are air freighted, if not plenty of freight companies near brisbane airport

Yep great idea,I just wasn't sure of the correct forum, but guess it will get moved if its wrong..

I looked at air-freight for a customer last year, but unless your an arab sheik with many oil fields its not an option..

I will post each state's seperate once I have all the details worked out..
