Sign of the times I'm afraid....BBC News also quoted a report that by 2066 'Indigenous' Britons would be in the minority......:eek::eek:

Yes I saw this too.
BUT it’ is not the full story.
The reality is that a certain section of the community regularly names their first boy born, Mohammed, so they limit the number of choices.
Whereas the rest of the nation draws on thousands of names.
The story was nothing more than a bit of scare mongering based on half the truth.
This was like a story a few years ago, where Sydney Council was not going to put up Christmas because it “offended” Muslims.
The problem was that no Muslims had complained and the true story was that that psycho Clover Moor was just trying to win Muslim votes, which she did anything but win.
All the Muslims interviewed stated that while they didn’t follow the Christian religion, they all celebrated the Christmas festivities.
More and more there seems to be two stories, the media version and reality. One sells papers, while the latter is just something that get in the way of a good “story”

I would be very surprised if William and Kate aren't the new most popular names.

Both names totally lack imagination by the parents, maybe that's a Pommy thing not to think outside the square.
I reckon more Englishmen (sorry British) should take heed of some wise words by the late and great Johny Cash and name their boys Sue.
Then none of them could get truly offended when we call them a big bunch of girls once they start crying and sulking as they usually do after a Ashes tour.
cheers,
Terry ;)

Hi,
I think i read somewhere the name Mohammed only ranks top if you include all the spelling variations.
I was at RAAF Butterworth (Malaysia) years ago, dead funny if you stuck your head round a workshop door and yelled "Hey Mohammed". Nearly every civilian worker looked up and answered.
cheers
