101 in Service Markings

The Nannas on the UK site are coming out to complain about PeterP and Mick Marsh (not me :)) hijacking the for sale thread about the sale of a Aust 101 replica.
After being branded one of the trouble makers I decided to start an appropriate thread for 101 markings. In fact I had already decided to do so and rubbed back the door a bit, came in to load up to show what I found and discovered the UK101 Nannas thread. Very amused:):)

Here is what I found -

Same basic colours as Micks but the number, kangaroo and ARMY are orange. Appears to be painted over an identical black base.


- for me I was not aware that 101s had Xmas Trees and as a result I will be sanding back my passenger door to see if I can find one on mine.
Garry CanDo's markings are on the centre of the drivers door, have found nothing on the passenger door as yet.

A further note to 30-248's markings.
The numbers above mine are red and it appears they may have been stick-ons or had something stuck on. I'll see if I can get a photo that shows this.

Can someone give me the height of the rapier symbol and the width between the bottom of the sword grips? I would like to get the artwork setup to cut stencils.

I have seen different rapier symbols so I do not think they are all exactly the same.

Length 19.0 cm you will need to zoom - sorry for the quality as I had to wet the door to see the image but the water was drying almost straight away.

Was like that when I got it - just a low priority on the list of things to do - you really only notice it when there are shadows that highlight the dents - like in the above pic.
