North Korea really needs a smackdown unfortunately the North knows that they can get away with almost anything and will continue to take pot shots.
For the South to really take it to the North will send us towards WW3 at a great rate of knots.

Contrary to popular believe the Korean war started when the south raided the north.
if its going to go noisy then now is probably the last chance to do it while NK has a limited arsenal, and if they do manage to launch at a guess say 20 million dead Japs, 10 million SKs and then the real fighting will start.
No one will nuk NK least the Chinese get upset over that.
Personally I think china has no control ( if they actually ever had any) over NK

The Korean War officially has never ended, there was an Armistice signed in 1953, the result being the Division of the country across the 38th Parallel.
China and Russia side with North Korea and the U.S and her Allies are on the side of the South Koreans.
The Geo-Political problem at the moment is that if the Chinese side with North Korea on their latest act and the U.S gets involved and embargoes Chinese goods, China's economy could take a big hit. The North Korean people believe that the South Koreans are in need of Liberation from the Capitalist clutches of the U.S. and are fully prepared to cross the Parallel to free their oppressed countrymen.
The North Koreans are unstable enough to lob a Nuke, and that's a very real concern.
China have a Veto in the U.N and the U.N is too dysfunctional to do anything other than pass a weak resolution, and Barak Obama is just out of his depth on this one, (not that Gillard and Rudd have much of a clue either).
Am I worried? Yes!
