Prawns into Brisbane

Gday All,

Sorry for the delay, but tried to get a better freight deal but with the fuel excise is the deciding price factor..

The product will go to the Toll transport depot, will post the address shortly.

I need a minimum order of 8x9kg cartons and sent as 1 consignment for this to work..

Tiger Prawns...
Under 8 (8 or less per pound)..1.5kg box =$43 our premium prawn & our largest by far..

10/15...(10/15 per pound).....3kg box =$55. A noticable size difference to the u/8 but still a good prawn size

Endeavour Prawns..These are direct competition to king & Banana prawns
Under 15...(15 or less per pound)...3kg box =$53

15/25...(15/25 prawns per pound)....3kg box =$43 This is a good medium size prawn..

I am more after an idea of interest, and when you compare prawn prices make sure you compare the size grade's (count per pound) as this is standard across all prawn industry's..

I would look at closing the orders on friday 3rd Dec to send the following week and to have in Brisbane by around 13th Dec..

This is $1 per box more than my prices last year..
I will post payment details etc next week or closer to shut off day..

I did post some pics of the size differences last year so if you do a search you should be able to compare what the size differences are..


I incur a minimum freight charge of $71.50 so thats why I need to sent a minimum of 8 cartons..

Bear in mind that the whole shipment will be consigned to one person. So everyone needs to be there at the right time and place to collect.

Toll got back to me today with this classic statement..

the prawns could leave next Wed 8th but may not leave till fri 10th..It all has to do with the amount of freezer freight they have...

This will put them in Brissie sometime around 16th..Does this suit..


Toll coldstore is Bandry Rd Richlands..I have no idea where that is..

Change the settings for your email program to sent emails as "text only" instead of "html" - that may help. Sending the invoice as a pdf may help too?

Its all consigned to Weeds, he has to be the 1 to pick it up as its all on 1 docket..

The best way is to meet somewhere close to the coldstore, and the person who its consigned to goes and gets it and meets everyone and then distribute it out there at the meeting place.

All the boxes are marked with who's order is inside so it should be pretty simple.The idea of sending them to the coldstore is so they keep them till you collect them..

I thought I posted the address but from memory its boundry rd richlands but will check..

Depends how many prawns he uses in each recipie ;)

1kg = 2.2 lb. Minimum of 10 prawns per lb = 22 prawns. That means 11 different recipies of 1 prawn each for Vlad and Mrs Vlad :D :D :D

all good in the end, when i got there all the cold storage guys had left for the day including the guy that i arranged the 3:30 pickup time with. they mustn't get too many frozen goods pickups as the girls on reception took awhile to sort it out

in the end a nice lady helped us out, friggin cold in the freezer room

Wife and 13 yo son couldn't resist tasting one or five to ensure quality.
I don't eat seafood myself but am assured by the same pair that the quality is superb!
I have since hid them down the bottom of the freezer so we'll see how long they last!

i will back up for more however like last time we need 70kg to made it viable

I believe the tiger season is closed. Though Ean may have some left??? He sent a shipment of bananas to Perth mid year last year which tasted great.

Ean did an Easter order for us WA blokes last year.They were Banana prawns as Ben said.
He did post all current stock was sold,did so well out of us AULROians he upgraded his D2 to a D3 whilst on holidays;););)
