Well whilst out playing on the weekend I thought I would have a crack at a steep step, it was about a meter high and had to come in at an angle as not to hit the bullbar. I got the left tyre to the top but almost rolled the car over in the process. There is a tech question here though, Whilst I was hanging in the balance I selected reverse and the car went forward, I selected first and it reversed, when the car was down back level the gears selected like normal very strange, I was on a very very big lean the oil pump was starved for a second. Any one got a clue to why the gearbox played up

Yup, mine did the same. Climbing a rock ledge, 2nd low, vehicle slipped backward and next thing I know, I am reversing while I was in forward gears:o, and smoke from the snorkel was a giveaway. Very hard to stall it out in low range too, with all that Torque available :)
Hope it doesn't happen again:( pretty scary:(

Ok thanks guys, that has cleared a few things up, there was smoke out the snorkel and it run rough as guts, once I rolled back onto the flat turned it off let it sit for sec and restarted it was fine nut I was bloody worried.

Do you think the vehicle may have been more unstable, due to your ultra flexi springs?

No I wouldn't say that, but the more travel you have the tricker places you can get into, the new coils haven't changed my travel it just sits up a bit higher and the ride is better now. I also had both lockers on so it is possable to drive the vehicle over, which wouldn't happen in a standard vehicle, I was doing some testing and came very very close to the limit, scary.
Gecko, I heard they did that as well.
