View Full Version : Defender and Rangie for sale
NOZ

Looks like I might be selling both the Defender and the Rangie, so I will be roverless for a few months :(

Till I get a new Defender or a new D4 ;)

Really not sure about selling them as I like them both but the poor rangie just sits there and hardly gets used (bloody work) and the wife is over driving the Defender everyday.

So unless I get a part time job and give upm this full time crap they will have to be sold.

If anyone knows of someone looking to buy either please let me know

Thanks Mark for selling me the Rangie! It'll take some getting used to driving it but I'm sure I will.

Yes I think Chris, Doug and myself share very common car interests.

I was and still am uncertain about selling the Rangie, it is truley a fantastic 4WD and so comfortable to boot.

But I think Chris may get to use it more than me, well I hope he does anyhow. It is a great car and I am sure I will regret it when I hear that 4.6 Rover V8 out 4wding in the future.

As for the Defender well I guess we have a new GCLRO member in the making. This car also has fond memories attached, Cape York last year for example. But as our family of 6 continues to grow, the middle front seat would not hold our youngest much longer. Good luck with the Defender Doug (once you pay for it that is ;)).

Thanks to Greg, Justin, Travis and Harry who helped me with the rangie in one way or another. I still owe you a carton Harry.

So back to me, soon to be Land Rover less again :(.

My plan is to buy a D4 or late D3 for the family ASAP and with a bit of luck a new Defender (7seater) as a company car some time next year.

Well thats the end of that short lived Rangie ownership, and after owning 2 Disco's , 1 Defender and 1 Rangie, I can with out a doubt say

THE RANGIE IS THE BEST.

I have to confess that I bought the Defender of NOZ.
I've lusted over Chris's defender for some time and thought it was time.
Those who know Chris might know me as I'm responsible for him as his dad..
I look forward to being part of the action soon.Got 3 other vehicles for sale to help pay for it.

I just brought the Defender home and am realy happy to have done the deal.
I'm looking forward to some trips and the Guitar always go with me everyware. As long as I don't bore people I'm happy to play a while.Son Chris is giving his old man advice and I'm listening. My last Landy was a 1960 series 11 with a camping body.We went everyware in that thing and it never let me down, except that I didn't know about draining the bell housing of any oil that got through the rear main and it got all over the clutch.I would love to have it back. That was about 36 years ago and I'm sure that I fitted in a bit easier behind the wheel.
