L322 RIM SIZES

My L322 is fitted with 20" rims. I see from the tyre plate that it is possible to fit smaller diameter rims. Does this affect speedo calibration? Jim

I would expect that as the rim size gets smaller, the tyre profile gets larger, so that the overall diameter of the rim + tyre will remain virtually the same.

The speedo calibration and gearing would then remain the same.
