Hi Dennis,
Is there enough meat in the carby body to mill out the spindle hole and fit a larger bearing surface bush perhaps of a more suited metal (brass or a heat/fuel resistant nylon?), or at least a bushing that can be replaced easily?

G'day All, Many thanks for the responses, even though I do have a lathe and mill/drill, I damaged my mill/drill some 12 months ago haven't got around to looking at it as yet. I understand the principals of how to but without my mill/drill it doesn't appear as though I'm going to be able to do much about it, I will send Uncle a pm.
I did source N.O.S. carburettors in the UK but at 325 Pounds = $517.00 +PP cheers Dennis:angel:
ps I need possibly 4 carburettors

Dennis, Dual Fuel at Caboolture rebuild them and that is probably who Ho will recommend. That's who did mine for the S1.
