Yep, normally on a Sunday would be out doing something....anything....not stuck inside. Hard to believe this is day 5 of summer up here in QLD. So thought on my usual weekend drop off 2 of the kids to the ex, thought would take some snaps on the way back.

Now we live in the hinterland, has been belting down not stop for days. However as soon as you drive 15mins away from here...completely different. Sure there has been rain across the board.....but we seem to get more.

So when I left around 11.30 am....it was pouring here......15mins driving....you wouldn't think it had rained. So hoping my pics would show the difference on the way back.......and it does :D.

Here's heading back....cloudy....but dry.

Anyone want to help empty the pool a smidge?

Even the locals aren't impressed

So even if it is wet....it does lend to some great misty mountain top views....

If you could encourage the rain to head back down your way... I've been waiting for our new oztent to dry since I put it up to "season" it on Friday!

Every bloody 45 minutes it rains!!

On the bright side.. the RV-5 is confirmed as waterproof!

Shoulda left it in the bag! *grumbles*

Every time I've been to Bananaland, I find it hard to leave. I used to live in WA...up around Carmel/ Darlington. Loved Perth...only 2 places I could live is WA or QLD.

stevo stevo stevo.......didn't know you rig was left hand drive:p What you talkin bout Willis :whistling:

Baz. Yikes.....I don't mind a bit of rain...but this is ridiculous. I open windows....then have to do a mad mans run to shut them again as it belts down. Down near our local shop....never knew there was a creek on the other side of the road................till this rain. Now there is a 10 metre river running through there.

Wil **** no.....prefer it if it headed up more Brissie way.....we always get twice the amount of rain in the hinterland.....Smokey is starting to think its a Defender as it is leaking water in a few spots :o. At least the tent is sorted......we've been in ours in a massive storm at Sundown NP......remained as dry as a bug in a rug. Oops time to shut the ****in windows again ;),

Nice looking house there Stevo - even if it is a bit wet and looks like you need to mow the lawns and rake up the leaves. :p

Yesterday I was at work up near Nullagine, and it's been anywhere between 43 and 46 most days up there.

This morning I'm in Kalgoorlie, and it was 15 degrees and raining.

Not sure which I prefer yet.

Even a few weeks ago as has been rainy for a while...I just sat there as the wheels spun :). Personally I always loved WA weather...hot without the humidity. A nice mix of both is a good combo...ie dry and wet,
