It is fast approcing when we blokes are subjected to the anual tourtue of trying to think of something for what to get the cook for xmas. Being a typical bloke I think of things we need however SWMBO seems to get upset when she unwraps a new toaster or Iron and dinner ends up quite often Baked Beans on toast.

Maybe we can get a list togeather of what every one is getting for their little woman and swap idears.

mmm let me think........

we realy need a new socket set:angel:

My missus has put me on to a website called strawberrynet.com that sells a lot of high end girly potions & lotions.
I haven't bought anything there yet so can't comment on service etc. And I have no affiliation with the business.

Actually it's a work on paper.

Picked it up at auction on a whim. Have to wait and see if it was a good pick or not.:D:D

Folks

The answer is simple and provides you with birthday / christmas and anniversay present ideas for the next 10 years.

.......a Pandora Bracelet.

If you haven't heard of these look them up.

Jewellery | Pandora (http://www.pandora.net/en-AU/jewellery)

Its a charm bracelet, which allows you to add little trinket charms as you please and they are available on any scale of expense from $40 up to a couple of hundred.

Then you can simply buy new charms for subsequent occasions.

I believe you will be in better favour with this than the toaster.

Been there, done that, bottle's still sitting on the bathroom window sill. Whatever you do don't give them your real e-mail address, had to put them on my 'banned list' to stop their spam.

One year Kaye bought me a gas stove and I bought her a Tilley lamp.

As mentioned, Pandora is always a good idea. It also means that you have birthdays, mothers day, I am sorry, bought new man-toys etc, covered for the next 3 - 5 years or so.

I am up for a new bracelet for her this year, cause "this one is full"...:Thump:

I'm confused. Been married for ten years (as at August this year) and she's never had to cook.

As for a toaster, think esoterically. Give her a roll of fencing wire and tell her to make her own toaster.

If you don't have a girly girl ( I do but don't) Pandora's out. A rifle she's just as likely to turn on me. The new console lid as discussed on another thread is my chrissy present (but she hasn't seen the visa bill yet at least). Winch and bar would only confuse ger as would a new MAF. I could change the oil on her car I guess, or at least wrap the filter...

The list goes on.

Depends on how girly your other half is to be honest and your budget...

Massage
Manicure & Pedicure
Hairdresser vouchers
Shoes (be careful)
Perfume
Jewellery (get something engravable and be sentimental ;)) or a jewellery box
If you've got kids Vouchers for a photographer who does quality family photos?
A framed photo of the two of you (could be recent, could be from years ago) with a note on the back of the frame
Hotel for a night, dinner, sleep in, fluffy bath robes.
If she decorates cakes, the new planet cake cupcake book (have a family member who would kill for this)
If she loves to bake (biscuits, cakes etc) one of those kitchen aid mixers?
If she loves to cook (not cooks for love) any of the new release cookbooks...pick a recipe from the book, make a hamper with the ingredients and cook it together?
Something in the tech area...laptop, ipod, ipad, kindle, new camera
A set of wine glasses, her favourite bottle of wine and a box of her favourite chocolates....or a basket filled with her favourite foods (make your own hamper)
If she loves IKEA a gift voucher?
Tickets to a show...a musical, drama, opera, ballet, comedian
A purse or handbag
See if you can have a bouquet of flowers delivered on Christmas day? (interflora maybe)
If she likes natural products go to the Body Shop and have them make a hamper for you or purchase a ready made one?
Dinner at a nice restaurant
A novel/paperback by her favourite author
A Nikon D90 with lenses, SD cards and Bag (you had better read this Simon, I'd really really love you :p but have to kill you for spending too much :()
If she enjoys gardening, new gloves, tools, a plant or three, plant pots, water feature
If she loves diy new tools, a new tool box etc
If she loves art and you know her style you could get her an art print? deviantart.com has free shipping around this time of year and thousands of artists to choose from. I purchased this for the other half last year deviantART Shop Framed Wall Art Prints & Canvas | Photography | Urban & Rural | Good Morning, London. by artist `geckokid (http://www.deviantart.com/print/4693936/?itemids=204)
Edit to add - DVDs from ABC shop or SBS (Dymocks I believe)...Any of the series they just HAD to watch in a DVD set is always a good idea
La Premiere or Gold Class Movie Vouchers (where you sit in the comfy recliners and get delivered food and drink before and during the film)...you may have to let her choose the film as well ;)

OH! A 2011 Land Rover Calendar! :D:p Then she can write your anniversary on there and you'll not forget!
