Gday All,

Altho I think he's a talented sportsman, he's been awefully quiet since being K O'd the other night..

Cheers Ean

No Complaints about not having to listen to some of the dribble that comes from his mouth.:)

Apparently the left hook burst Mundine's attitude gland...although doctors are happy to report that it is only temporary, and should mend itself after a period of rest.

Hi Mick, hopefully it's a reality check for the mouth.

He must be the only Aussie sportman who gets the Aussie crowd cheering when he looses..

Apparently the left hook burst Mundine's attitude gland...We'd all be better off if they removed the gland altogether.

He must be the only time that we've had an Aussie World Champion, where the majority of Aussies want him to lose.... to anyone!

The shame of it is ... away from all the hype and bullsh$t of the boxing world, Mundine is a very normal, likable and down to earth fella. I've seen him in different environs on TV ( Big Brother was one  ) where he showed himself to be a great bloke, gentle with his physical lesser's etc and I can't fathom why he persists with all that tired Mohamed Ali crap in the press.

It's a shame we can't get behind one of our Native Australians, but when you go about acting like a loud mouthed Yank in this country, nuthins gonna save you. :wasntme:

I saw a few episode of the celeb big brother when he was on there and I have never heard someone ring their own bell so often. Crapping on about how he had to leave NRL because he was the best in the sport and he wasnt being challenged etc. I recognise the fact that he is a good sportsman but he needs to shut his mouth.

Im sure deep down he is a nice bloke, but we can only comment on what we see on TV and in the news.

I personally dont like the bloke and love to see him get beaten. Especially by a bloke who won the right to fight him in a boxing reality TV show.

Point is mate ... from what I saw, he wasn't laying out all that Mohamed Ali crap, you actually got to see him having some normal conversations without the yap yap. And yup ... he acted pretty normal. :)

Yeah I know Simon. Most people are pretty normal in private away from their media persona. I just dont like the bloke because of his persona. But hey hes certainly got a lot better money making potential than me and a personality of sorts, I dont even have that.;)

Do you remember Rocky Gatellari? He was totally loathed by boxing fans for the same reasons as Mundine. He avoided serious challengers, fought carefully arranged bouts with has-beens and never-weres. When he finally got a pasting, the cheers, applause and whistles nearly lifted the roof off the stadium. A Sydney journalist coined the term "Bum of the Month Club" to describe Gatellaris opponents.
