RR P38

I had my P38 up for sale for 10 days as i had bought an 01 TD5 4 months ago.
Had a heap of lookers 360 at last count.
But damn, i drove it one day after being in the Disco for so long i thought WOW why am i selling this thing it is so good to drive.
My disco was a very tidy unit with ACE and leather i love the growl of the diesel engine and its frugal running costs.

Disaster the ABS booster pump went on the rangie (pressure switch) ok i love this RR so i get a new one and decide to do the modulator kit at the same time. And just for the hell of it a new radiator as well.
The Rangie is so much easier to work on than the Disco.

Right Disco is sold it took 1 day $12500, and not one sole made an offer on the Rangie i would have taken $5k for it.
I am so glad i never got rid of it as i have had it for 11 years now, but next year it will be sold for a D3.

I know what your saying. Had 2 TD5 Discos. Love the sound of the TD5, so distinctive, love the idea of the 2 oil filters as a bloke who works with diesel engines for work, loved the ACE, the driving position the compact wheelbase...

Then you get in the P38. Better in every way. Not by just a bit either. I dont think its as quick as my chipped TD5 but gee, its what the marketing types would call "the experience"... The way a rangey just goes down the road, a track, a rock trail....

We sold our 1994 Classic Vogue LSE (almost a P38) and there's barely a day goes by we wish we hadn't.

My Green HSE P38 was auctioned off as a repairable write-off a bit over a week ago, so rather than borrow my mate's car, I flew to melbourne to buy another! There really is nothing like it!

I'm glad you kept it! I would have too!
