Hey guys,

I've lost power to my brake lights (tail lights work fine). The fuse is fine so I am thinking that it may be the tactile switch on the master cylinder?

Can somebody tell me where abouts it is located, and what it looks like? Photos would be awesome!

Not sure what I'll do when I find it, was hoping a bit of contact spray or similar might help?

Cheers,

Cheyne.

You will find it inside the cabin in the footwell on the pedal. Take the cardboard bit off and you will see it (white plastic bit). easy to replace but check the connections first and then check it for continuity, may just need adjusting.

G'day mate,
Mine is screwed into the firewall side of the pedal box under the bonnet, off-white coloured with two spade terminals. Repco didn't have one that matched so went to LVS who had the right one in stock. I can't remember part number off hand.
After I replaced it I pulled the old one apart, there isn't much to it, by memory I broke a clip that meant it wouldn't go back together properly, and there is a spring under compression inside as well so disassemble it inside a bag.

Cheyne, I have to apologise, I gave you the wrong info. As Mark has correctly pointed out its on the back of the pedal box under the bonnet. Dunno what I was thinking there - must be CRAFT setting in! I'm at the right age for it.
