TD5 Mass Air Flow Meter

I think my MAF may be goosed. When starting from cold every morning it has a flat spt when changing into 2nd gear. When its warmed up it seems ok but I dont find it as responsive without giving it a boot full. The later may be me as Ive been driving the Puma more lately. I've got a Disco MAF I can try but don't know if its the same as the Defenders. If any one knows it would be appreciated.

When mine failed it was ok when started from cold but when it was shut down and restarted it went to limp mode. Seemed to not want to go over 80kph. Changed the metre and never looked back.
