OK started taking my 90 apart for a rebuild. I am trying to release the Bulhead bolt that holds the sills in place. I have removed the nut off the end but the bolt won't budge. Am I right in thinking this bolt has to be unscrewed or does it just knock out?
TIA

Hi Ivan,
It should just push out, but is likely rusted solid.
Will it turn with a bar and socket? You may be able to break the hold and help it out.

Thanks for that. Up to now I have been gentle with it as I didn't want to damage any threads that may be there. Time for the FBH :p

Hi mate when I did my bulkhead change out on the 130, I found the bolts are long shouldered affairs with thread to last inch or so, just get a punch and bang it through retain the washers, and use new bolts when you put it back together.
When moving the bulkhead out it's good to use an engine hoist and straps if on your own.
Also on reconstruction you may have to jig the windscreen bulkhead forward to the correct position using a jack or similar on the door frame part of the bulkhead if it's out of alignment.
You will find this out when its nearly all built up an need to lossen the roof from the screen frame.
also when replacing the new bulkhead have another pair of hands as it's a tight fit and pain in the rectum to achieve both bolts in situ on your own only my experience I did all on my own apart from the reseating of the bulkhead and bolts as it was in the just too hard bin.
Any help required lots of people here to help mate.
I stripped painted and replaced the bulkhead in something like 22 days to just do the bulkhead maybe a week and a bit on your own.
