I went on an overnite fishing trip with my Bro last nite.
This bloke decided to bog himself between us and the ocean on an incoming tide.
I wasnt interested in his plight and made him sweat.
Firstly, you dont drive where he was driving on an incoming tide.He had highway pressures. He had no recovery gear.He was way too close to our camp, you dont do that on a beach, you keep away from peoples camps. He rushed us to dismantle our camp to free a recovery vehicle(the D1) using our recovery gear. After recovery he slaps me with $15 saying you to fellas go to the pub and have a beer.
He could have helped put the camp back together that HE mostly pulled apart.$15 dont buy many beers over the bar compared to a brand new Ford Ranger becoming a water feature.

Water was lapping at his tyres when we pulled him out on the first snatch.
WHAT A WALLY,and he was a LOCAL too.

No recovery points/bullbar either, had to go backwards(just as well). He wanted us to hook onto the towball, made him wait whilst I found a spanner to release the anti rattle bolt,he had no tools to do it.

Classic...but it wasn't a Toymotor so it doesn't count :p

I came across a bloke traveling by himself that drove straight into the seaweed at Israelite...oops...his D-Max would have made a nice water feature too if we werent there

Ditto about the tyre pressure too..we came across another bunch of people out at Israelite in the brand new Pajero's, and 40lbs in the tyres...boy they made hard work of it!

Gets to the point where all you want to do is "smile and wave boys.....just smile and wave"

WOW $15, drinks are on you then?
getting really sick of these people going in at full tyre pressure, sure some will make it but they only make it harder for those behind them after they churn up the beach

Wouldnt get many drinks out of $15!!!!
One would have thought it was worth at least a carton not to have to deal with the insurance mob.

Why didn't you let him wait until he was in total panic mode with a wet bum and full underpants before pulling him out.

Cheapskate!! Although it may have been all he had on him? But then wouldn't you think to get your rescuer's address so you could send an appropriate thank-you?

$15?

Even if that is all he had on him he could at least have made arrangements to get a case of two of beers to you.

A couple of weeks ago the missus got her car broken into and we gave a case of beer to the guy who'd noticed just for calling the police (and then doing the detective work to find a number to contact us directly).

Threatening to buy awful beer is not really the way to encourage people to help you! Beach looks very familiar where was it?

Ah relatively close then I'm near Binningup, Although I must confess I've had some conversations with some skeptical QLD types about where you drive on the beach, stay the hell away from the water line doesn't compute with their way of thinking.

You should have told him that you had flattened your batteries the previous night, and were waiting for the solar panel to charge them back up, then sat there and watched the entertainment. You could have then videoed it and had an instant hit on you tube...:p

You're a MEAN, MEAN MAN :twisted:, or is that coming from the 22years of experience???

Dropped of a nice bottle of scotch to the bloke who found my defer after it was stolen last month. He was well pleased.

Cheers, Jurgens.
