I saw a lady with three kids having issues with the rear side passenger door yesterday.
And as she was driving a copy:D defender 110 puma I Thought I would offer assistance.
Now I can only think that the linkage had come loose, because after moving the child safety door lock into the open position in the morning she had not been able to secure the vehicle at the door all day but did not have any issues with the other doors.
I tried a number of things just in case it was not the linkage but something sensored.
I manually locked the car, I tried reverting the child lock to its original position and utilising either the key or electronic means to lock the door, without taking the door panel off (not game on a brand spanker that did not belong to me) I really was hindered.
I did manage to secure the vehicle by physically locking the door using the button and locking the rest with the electronic fob.
Anyone else experienced this and what was the soloution?
Just as I see her about near my work and if it happened again I would be more able to assist cheers
