Good idea on behalf of the commitee I say, well done.
Now I just have to get home myself,my car is in Toowoomba which is currently cut off.The unsealed roads where I work are closed and my flight to Toowoomba has been cancelled for tomorrow. Can't drive in or out from where I am so work may have to chopper us all out to Roma. Then try and get a flight home or something. We still have all the essentials so we have time to wait it out. What's it like on the coast at the moment?

wet.

but not serious like where you are, or any of the other centres.
tweed river is expected to flood, and northern nsw is getting a caning.
keep dry and tell the boss you don't do choppers,
find a pub, they will at least be able to put the kettle on for you.;)

I spent the morning evacuating a family member from East Brisbane. The D1 was a superstar, making trip after trip through water that started at knee high and finished at waist height at the deepest point on our final trip in-out. Once their place was empty the D1 started serving the rest of the street! A 130 delivered some sand bags, and one of the residents escaped in their Series!! Wish I could have got a picture of the 3 land rovers working in the flooded street -
Good luck to all for tomorrow!
