How hard is it to fit a D2a bull bar to a D2 (2000 model)? I really like the ARB Sahara style bar, but they only do that for the D2a, hence my question.

I have read a few posts here and there that mention swapping the lights and grill from D2a onto the D2, but is it that simple? Are the lights/grill a straight swap?

Is there any other Sahara style bars out there for the D2 (I haven't found any, doesn't mean they don't exist though...:p)?

Cheers,
Nova

My understanding is that the D2a sahara bar can be installed on a standard D2 with only a minor trim to the bottom of the grill and the little panels under the headlights. About 10mm I think.:)

Nova,

I just washed my hands after the lasts 3 hrs fitting an non winch d2a bar to my 2001 d2.... i had to trim the grille a bit and there is a slight gap under the lights, but I'm very happy with it...It a 4x4 no a show room car so ill live with little gaps.

My brother has just fitted a Sahara bar to a 2001 D2 and as Biggin mentioned it only required very minor trimming.

Sweet, trimming the grill isn't an issue. If the panel gaps are too big I can always find some sticky rubber tube (like a door seal) and fill the gap.

Thanks guys,
