Guys
I know many folk on here are trying importing from the states etc.
Tempe just supplied us some tyres for our work utes and they are great.

It supports the australien workforce and their prices are low, you be very surprised.
they stock all major brands;)

just be a bit careful and check the date of manufacture of the tyres.
I bought a set of Bridgestone 501s for my M3 at Tempe for a great price.

When I checked the date after a thread here, I found they were made in 2004 , some 6 years earlier, and supposedly beyond the use by date.

My guess is that they buy container loads of out of date tyres from countries that care about such things eg Japan.
BTW until I sold the car the tyres were flawless.

They'll tell you that "Tempe tyres are wik'd mate" - also not sure that it's an Australian workforce although they are likely permanent residents doing the working.

I thought Tempe Tyres just sold rubber band tyres. Anything greater that 35% aspect ratio is a big no-no ;).

You're in SA - are talking about the Tempe Tyres in Sydney or do they have branches elsewhere?

I thought that I'd heard a few years ago that Tempe tyres do something....um, unusual also like their own importation from overseas etc. Def a big name in the bling and ricer community.

And Land Rover people are regular people? Yeah right.:o

Permanent residents are fine by me so long as they adopt our way of life and contribute.

Thats how I got hold of their name and service is A1.
I suggest if someone is chasing some tyres and bloke down the road is too expensive, give them a try.
That's all, a suggestion.;)
