We were going to flight back home today but a friend of us said that the supermarkets are very low in stock and fuel are running out :(
We are 25km north of Bundy and flood were no problem there but will be not good to do 50km return trips to Bundy if the shops are empty.
We do not like to cause more problems there so we will stay with Carlos in Tasmania till the 30/1.
I hope that all the members in Bundy and the rest of Qld are well and safe.
Remember we can replace the house, cars and other material things but not life, so do not take risks please

cheers
Arthur

Food generally is not too bad. Bread and milk are thin on the ground and fuel is only an issue because of panic buying. Nan went to our local butcher today and they got a delivery yesterday and were expecting another later in the week, so that doesn't seem to be an issue.

Bundy is expecting the river level to come up again in the near future (tonight/tommorrow) as we get all the water from upstream. I don't follow the tides, so I am not sure what effect they will have on the situation.

Paul

PS As a side note and as others have stated, if anyone is in strife, put up your hand. We can't help you if we don't know.

Enjoy the extended holiday in Tassie! I am glad I am in (very dry) Perth, rather than in Brissie! Hope all over there are safe and have enough of what they need. Our family all have properties above the '74 flood levels so hopefully will be OK.

p.s. - hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of giving you some help with your tenses. Took me a while to realise you were still in Tassie - "we are 25km..." confused me, as I thought you were stating your current location.

Fuel is NOT running out. I know that it is of little consolation, but your fuel comes from Gladstone. Hope the people of Bundy are okay!

Arthur, if its any consolation...food is running out in Brissie too, what with the panic buying.

Not all servo's in bundy get fuel from Gladstone, the old Mobil servo's which are now Bp's get their fuel from Brisbane. But yes fuel is available if you just find a servo who is getting theirs from Gladstone.

Bakeries & the likes are doing their best to keep bread up, but people have gone mad at the supermarkets ;)

I am so glad I have several camping stocks...

now all I'm really worried about is looters.

Arthur,

Yes Paul, I have a friend that inspect the place every day. All is good there, the only problem is the high water table which affecting the normal function of the mini treatment plants (sepic) which it is nothing compared with the problems elsewere.
