Once you're in it is a bit difficult to turn back.

It is a bad feeling once the water starts to come in via the vents.

I get the feeling even he was surprised at the depth! "Well that was scary".... Understatement of the week!

Unnecessary I'd say...also foolish and potentially fatal..for him or those sent to get him :mad:

Easy to say in hindsight. He did pass a depth indicator at the start of the crossing that said 0.6m. Perhaps if the indicator was accurate (possibly 1 metre +) then he might not have continued.

That was taken on the Wyong straight, old Pacific Hwy during the Newcastle flood 4? years ago.
