I've had a call from DiscoDavo asking me to put this out to aulro people.

They need some help with fencing in that area. The helpers need to be self contained with fencing materials and tools as they can't get stuff in there.

If you think you can help call Dave on 0422 329 572.

It's quite close to wivenhoe dam. I presume the fencing is to replace stuff lost in the flood so they can control what stock they have left.

Having said that I don't really know much about it so give him a call if anyone wants more info.

G'Day All.
Steve, thanks for getting the message out.
Fellas, When we were tasked with joining the Emergency Response last Sunday, It became apparent in the co-ord centre that there were a large number of fences destroyed or rendered useless by debris trapped in them.
When we were stood down on Wed, there was talk of the RTF (ADF) doing fencing work, but nothing firm and no time-frame given.
These people were effectively forgotten for 5 days until my Local controller and Regional Director came down from Kilcoy/ Esk on Recce to find no External agency assistance.
The RFS were doing everything with an ex SES member stepping up as co-ord.

They still need help NOW.
If anyone can provide labour or materials, please contact the Somerset Council Somerset Regional Council - Home (http://www.somerset.qld.gov.au/)

Cheers, Dave.
