DWI--Great service and prices

I must eat some of my words now as I have bought something namely a new camera a Canon G12 with a 8g 20meg/sec card.

I tried so hard to buy local, tried 3 different shops and it wasn't so much the price but the service and attitude that made me feel they don't deserve my business.
I asked for a handle of the camera to see ergonomics and have a fiddle with controls.
I got nasty look and to ask a battery be inserted to have a go at menu etc.

I than asked for a nice camera case, or something even old school like and they said " I have some upstairs, they are Canon and probably too expensive".

Too ****ing hard more like it!

I often said on here to buy local and support the economy, now look at me.
I bought overseas also and glad because it not only saved me plenty of $$ but their service was excellent.

There are cheaper so called Australian companies on the web but they are a genuine Australian company wth 3 shops here.

As far as I'm concerned if they can get it to my door upwards of 30% cheaper in some instances then they have my business, as opposed to going to the shop and then not getting the best customer care, a take it or leave it attittude and in some cases less than knowledgable sales persons

I know this topic has been covered before (buy online vs buy local), but when one has to spend their hard earned, AND on top of that cop flak from retail staff, I say BUY ONLINE!

I have spent over $3k with DWI and have always received prompt service and delivery. I even got an item sent to me from OS during the holidays within 5 days!!! If it was interstate I recon 2 weeks minumum!
