I am considering changing the standard TD4 SE stereo 6 CD 400 for a Sony SONY-XAV-70BT.

Im just not sure if the replacement chassis will look ok or if there were any specific gotchas.

Is it something i can do myself or do I need to goto Strathfield?

Here is the unit I am thinking of getting (plus free facia)
SONY XAV-70BT In-Dash Touch Screen DVD/CD/MP3/BLUETOOTH (eBay item 360335329110 end time 10-Feb-11 18:47:41 AEDST) : Electronics (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SONY-XAV-70BT-In-Dash-Touch-Screen-DVD-CD-MP3-BLUETOOTH-/360335329110?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53e5a8c756)

Your help appreciated.

Pretty sure you'll need one of these Freelander double din adaptor (http://www.justkenwood.co.uk/car-audio.aspx/caw1260-01-adaptor)

Thanks. Yes I believe Ill need the one fo rthe Land Rover Freelander 2

Ebay has one (LR2)
CONNECTS2 FREELANDER 2007+ DOUBLE DIN STEREO FACIA KIT (eBay item 380150358639 end time 09-Feb-11 23:53:03 AEDST) : Vehicle Parts Accessories (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380150358639&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT)

But Im checking with the US listing as they claim to provide one for your car make for free,

Phone Trivett and they thought I might need to check the connection to steering wheel.

I'm thinking because of this and because of the remote microphone it might be better to use a proper install than be a have a go hero.
