How do you tell if a D4 is a MY09 or MY10?

I’m trying to find out if my wife’s D4 is a MY09 or a MY10.

I’ve been told there are no MY09 D4s, this doesn’t sound right to me.

All of the first D4's are classed as MY10. Even if they were built in 09. The build date will be on the compliance plate.

The build date will be on the compliance plate.The build date is actually on the radiator support panel.
The compliance date (usually when the car was delivered to the dealer) is on the compliance plate. The CP is on the RH B pillar.

I usually find out this way...

go and get the manual for the MY(version) you think the vehicle is. goto the part for the very technical job that you have to do. realise that what is in the book is not what is in front of you so you now need to get the other version.

Geez that made me laugh....

What is it with today's manufacturers? "I'll supply a manual for a system/piece of kit that has 20,000 derivitives".....surely the owner will know what they bought....:confused:

the easyest way to tell is look at the vin,, if b4 the last 6 digets it has a AA there, its a my10,, witch urs will have,, the vin is tell it all,, were it was made,, man/auto/engine, only the last 6 are the actul car identification
