Hi there,

I removed the plug from the ecu and there was oil in it. I removed the ecu and undid the torques screws and pryed the ecu open. there was oil in the threads of the bolts and oil on the corners of the circuit board. It looks as though the oil has got under the clear coating on the curcuit board as its all wrinkly where the oil was around the corners.
Can any one confirm if the wrinkly areas is oil?
Any ideas where i can get another ecu?
Oh and the vehicle is still running but for how much longer i dont know. It is missing around 2200 rpm.

Thanx. Michael.

Known fault with TD5's. Capillary action from oil in the injector harness takes the oil to the ECU. Replace the harness.

Clean ecu with cleaner and reseal.
The replace injector harness and for a while just keep cleaning the plug.
