After month of searching i finally found a D3 HSE V8. Its a very early one July 04, im told it was trivetts in sydneys demostator.

Got it in sydney then drove it back to melbourne. Gotta say it was the easiest run i have ever had. it just ate the Km. so comfy

Now im madly trying to it get road worthy and sort out the bits and ****s.

Where is a good place in melbourne to get D3 parts? Are there independant parts suppliers? or just got the dealership.

I need a glove box lid, center console lid, and spare wheel witch.

Ill post some photos soon.. can't wait to get it off road.

might have to change my user name!

Welcome to "the world of the D3 smile" Mikesdefender,
looking forward to some photos....enjoy your new toy.
cheers :D
This is a good place to start your search for spares Triumph Rover Spares - The World's Largest Land Rover Dismantler (http://www.triumphroverspares.com.au/)... a lot cheaper than the dealers.
Tons of good advice and help on this forum (and Disco3UK) so just ask away and you will be amazed at the help you'll get.

I presume you mean winch (unless you are after a wheel changing hag on a broomstick). Try Ritters - they "stole" one off my car last week when they fitted my long range tank.

Congratulations on the purchase and welcome to the other side.

I've found TRS is often more expensive than list price from a dealer so be sure to check new prices.

Thanks for replies.. my D3's off getting it road worthy. turned out that the victorian aftermarket guys were the same as genuine. So i went with LR parts. Very odd. Not sure if the aftermarket guys are over charging or LR are under charging!!

LR stands for Love Revenue .... although I must admit my local dealer has been very good re services etc - so I don't really mind fattening their wallet. I just find that with a little bit of work I can usually get "parts" quite a bit cheaper on the net ...

Congratulations, my very same reaction to driving my new D3 from Melbourne to Canberra! I recommend the small enthusiastic dealer who sold me my D3: Deacons. James Deacon is very good to deal with and sent me many parts such as glove box lid and others that I needed. Good luck.
