Hello all.
I got a remote question asked by a friend who has just bought an 80 series Landcruiser (I know, I know...) and on the first run discovered (after getting stranded) that his fuel (diesel) pick up pipe has been slightly modified:
instead of it being bent by 90 degrees it is bent straight up and the fuel filter has been removed.
My initial thought is maybe due to the rather disadvantaged diesel quality of the outback (or rusty metal barrel?) someone decided to bend the pipe... ?...
The resulting disadvantage now however is that the last 20 litres of diesel cannot be used because the pipe is too short.
Does anyone have a constructive thought on this why he would NOT want the pipe in its original position with filter attached?
