Some years ago, a pooey old diesel Gemini with factory boot floor rust and oxidised metallic paint we owned was written off, and when it was cut up and carted away both my girls, quite young still(3 and 7) were beside themselves, both retained souvenirs of interior trim and kept them for some years after:eek:. Its amazing what children can get attached to. At least your D2 was a thing of beauty:D.

VNT turbo is a awesome mod for your car but needs other mods to show its tru potential
it was sourced thru BAS (Bell auto sevices) in the U.K yes they are available in oz thru Tombie pm him
what was it a screaming cat under the bonnet (vairable nosle turbo) you ever had a mack truck take over you with it turbo whistling in your ear

Actually it was a fantastically reliable and frugal vehicle, and if it wasn't for the accident I would probably still have it, rust and all! Despite what everyone else seems to say, it had plenty of go, and 56mpg was easily achievable even driven hard:twisted:. Bought it unreg for $200, fixed it and had it for a further 3 years.
I remember once driving from Canberra home to Tassie, and getting to a fuel station in Tas and realising the last time I opened the fuel flap was in Northern NSW:cool:

I actually still miss that car....:(

Sorry for the hijack there Kelvin:o

I know how you feel Kelvin :(

Had the Rangie for years..I even used to drive it to school back in the day. Then my dad traded her for a P38  But then gladly 4 years later I saw her for sale and bought her back :D

She will be sadly missed by the Ross family..especially by our little man, Milo!

Our last pics of Rangie this afternoon before she goes to her new home tomorrow morning...

I was following it around Southport today. It's an impressive beast, right down to the 'stock is a dirty word' sticker. It still had your AULRO I.D. sticker as well. I'm glad now I didn't try to introduce myself to the driver - that could have been interesting / amusing! ;P

definate up trade flexs better drive better cost less ,and after i have just spent 6k on a td5 engine rebuild could not even look at it ,if i blow a engine in my rangie i can by 5 rangies for 6k to get parts off much better

AND I NEEDED A CHANGE
you will soon see you can only go so far with a D2
