Guys,
I have been doing some work on a mates D2A TD5 whilst he and his wife are overseas. Part of that included a new tune/flash. That had problems rendering the ecu unworkable, and Im working through those. My problem is that a solution might not be available by COB tomorrow, Friday. His wife is back on Sunday and needs the car for a week, before she disappears again. Im hoping the ecu will be fixed/replaced by tomorrow. If not, my temporary solution is to take the ECU out of MY OWN D2A TD5, and put it in her car for a week. I have a nanocom.
Questions:
1. What information from my ECU do I need to save for when I put it back in my car (I have several tunes tied to this ecu and wish to retain them).
2. How do I prepare my ECU for use in my friends car? (Im happy for it to be a stock tune for the week)
3. How do I then return my ECU to my initial settings for reinstall in my car?
Thanks in advance (and hoping I dont need your answers).
