Hi guys,
probably a long-shot, particularly with the poor quality of my camera, but does any one have any idea on what these tyres are?

Actually looks like 15" diameter wider bands welded to Defender centres, possibly with 11.50x33" tyres.

I reckon they are old Olympic SteelTreks. Have a look at images on this website Bond, as see if they look right: Olympic SteelTrek 7.50R16LT Tyre tyres 4x4 For Sale in Australia (http://www.ultraparts.com.au/auction/3424089/Olympic_SteelTrek_7.50R16LT_Tyre_tyres_4x4/).

Won't those tyres have the manufacturers name, tyre name and tyre specs impressed into the tyre wall.

tyres, pneumatic.
year of car 1995,
see the position of the front indicator repeater, and the position of the bolts along the sill panels,
always an absolute dead givaway.

From memory these are labeled 9.00x16 but in reality equate close to 38 inch tyres.
legality wise, your clutching at straws.
