I’m putting on Koni Raids and King springs. Koni tell me that their standard Raid for the Defender allows for 40mm additional travel. I’m using standard King springs on the front and have upgraded the shock tower to Teraferma standard towers with dislocation cone to cater for the addition Koni length.

On the back I’m going to use the standard Koni which I’m told allows 50mm additional travel. I’ll have longer King springs to cater for the additional fuel I carry so don’t think I’ll need dislocation cones in the back?

Given this additional travel will my standard brake lines & ABS be OK or will I need to extend them?

Note
Some other posts on Koni and no stone guards so I raised this with Koni when I spoke to them and they don’t recommend stone guards say they’re not needed and may interfere with the cooling of the damper.

Koni dropped their prices in December 2010. While still expensive are now competitive with overseas suppliers. However most suppliers are still quoting above what Koni Vic say is their “new” recommended retail.

40mm is nothing... Other aftermarket shocks are 50mm+

Wont have any brake line issues on a Defender, a D2 will get close to limits on rear though, but should be ok.
