Does anyone know what spark plugs I should use in a 2.6L 6? The parts manual says RTC3571, which doesn't help down the local parts shop.

A web search advises variously NGK BR7ES, BP5ES and B6ES, which covers a wide variety of options.

The NGK web site no longer goes back as far as 1970, although I'm sure I got the info from there for the 2.25 4.

Not looking a pre-emptive gift horse in the mouth :), but some doco to back up an opinion would be appreciated.

Thanks, Peter

My old Bosch catalogue says W8DC/W8CC for 6 cyl Land Rover 2.6 up to 1980, except for 1/2 inch reach engines which use W7BC. The first would now be WR8DC+ or NGK BPR5ES or similar, 1/2 inch would be WR7BC+

Peter,
The NGK website comes up with B6ES for the 1971-1983 2.6 6-cyl.
NGK Spark Plugs Australia (http://www.ngkspark.com.au/sparkplug_cars.php?PageMode=Results&Make=LAND+ROVER&Model=Land+Rover&Year=1971+-+19832.6L6+Cyl).

My 1995-1995 NGK book states the same B6ES 14mm thread, 19mm reach, 6 is the heat range,I would suggest that you go one range hotter B5ES for gas, unlike other brands, with NGK LOWER is HOTTER ;)

Awesome I need this info too. It comes in handy reading other posts that have already asked the same questions as I have.
