Hi All

Thanks for the photo Cliffy looks good.

Mrs Ho Har I would like to request formal permission to make a formal submission.
1 To apologise for causing consternation and feelings of abandonment

2 To apologise for leaving you out in the first place

3 To aplogise for the weight increase caused by my reckless endangerment of your feelings as I know that many cups of tea and chocolates would have been needed to regain equilibrium

Hi All

I guess that the one out the front is number 5 for the year, work to darwin has been slow so not able to pick the others up yet.:) a 2a trayback but the mice have been at the chassis etc

We have had the pto hardtop running and the pto works great and the gearbox is top sealed and the thing that surprised Dandlandyman was the steel carrier on the throwout bearing something he's never seen on a series three before :)

this year...
'49 80"
(2/3 thereof, no front guards no steering wheel, weighs less than it should (weight reduced chassis and firewall!) and a very ill looking 161! has full grill :) but wrong support panel :( , and no butler lights or seats.... I'll be making a long list in the wanted columns!!! Appears to have ring pull box in back :) (I think!) both doors but only 1 x "wire door top support hinge thing"

'53 80"
(2/3 thereof also! -has all running gear but not running, all connected but someone has angle ground front springs out and taken away!!! no front guards or bonnet... also lighter than originally designed but bulkhead not too bad (nor front dumb irons!) T -grill AND 80" utility hard top!! :) In good nick!

long list of tinkering ahead!

no challenge to the Ho Hars and co but there you go!

Hi All

Digger that's no mean haul that you have there, what you lack in numbers you make up for in other areas like being series ones:):D and I only have two 86's myself one of which is only chassis and tub basically.

Are we making book yet on how many for the year :D:):p:cool::twisted::wasntme:

Unless Mars and the Moon collide (which if occurred may mean I would get a gunbuggy, (MMMMM GUN BUGGIES MMMMM) now praying for lunar collision!) then probably nothing else.....

but... who knows what could happen or what turns up........ never say never!! (but since I drove from the Riverland to Haslam (West Coast SA) to collect the '53 I dont know if I can afford the diesel again!)

2011 is only one, Disco3 SE 2.7, known as "Mica"...whose car is it? It's.....!!!!

Acquired a new Deefer 90 in 2010. A 2004 Deefer 130 back in 2008, known as the Truck.

Before that:
2002 Td5 Deefer 110 xtreme
1998 Tdi 110 wagon
1981 S3 SWB soft top (in UK and brought home)

But I wish I had more, an ex-mil Landy, Series 1, Stage 1, Rapier support 127..:):D

Hi All

Happy Birthday again Mrs HH :):D and sorry about the no landies for your birthday :o

I have been gifted a 2a shorty today apparently - I haven't seen it yet - if it's a good one maybe i should give it a name, hmmm what Ladies name would fit today :):D:cool:

Hi Sleepy I was wondering if I spent as much on fuel getting my collection as you did getting your 101 :):D no it couldn't take that much fuel to get almost thirty land rovers could it :o:cool::):D:eek: I thought the green was the hundred dollar bills pasted to it to pay for the fuel :):D

Ratel I almost envy you the diesel, I would like a landy diesel :):D but i will have to put up with the perkins i guess:D

Keith sounds good so do you have any photo's

Hi All

Well yesterday i went to pick up a shorty - as described and it turned out to be a series 3 lwb with a rotting rear crossmember and butchered hardtop :) but whilst there in the long grass i found an 80 inch chassis with shackles at the front and with a firewall so i have to check the numbers to see what year it is :):D

Now all you need to do is win a couple of million on Lotto and you can retire to work on your collection.
