The office I work out of is in an industrial estate in Capalaba QLD. Most days my D3 is out the front along with the Boss' D3, sometimes joined by a 3rd D3 belonging to another staff member.

For no reason we've been able to figure out, the car alarms of all the D3's parked out the front will from time to time, go off together driving us and the neighbours nuts.

It can happen when one or more of the trio is parked here. Today it happened 4 times in 2 hours.

This does not happen to any of the cars when parked anywhere else.

Is this some form of inter-car communications?

Hi we have just moved houses and my neighbour opposite has a D3 SE petrol and next door to him a D3 TDV6 SE, I have a TDV6 S. The day we moved I heard the alarm going off, so ventured out with keys only to realise it was the neighbours. Then over the next few days it was happening continuously, my thoughts interference from the D3's. Upon speaking to new neighbour, he told me it had been happening for a while, before we moved, and LR said it was a faulty bonnet alarm switch, soon to be replaced. Must have been done now, as the false alarms have stopped. Only his car was false alarming, so my suggestion is to narrow it down, are all cars alarming or is it just one. Then find the fault. My alarm has never gone off without a reason.

Thanks Kingo. It is definitely all 3, although one of then seems to start a second or two before the others.

Hi Kingo,
My alarm goes off every time I lock the car. It blasts away 12 times, goes to sleep, then fires up again. This sequence repeats again four times:angrylock:. Your info about the bonnet switch could solve my problem as this is showing up in the message centre and my mechanic has ordered a new one for the next service. I hope this solves the problem.
